More experimenting with the roof tool, I'm not sure I like the outside of this house, but I love the inside.

I want this kitchen in real life.

Random pretties from my game.

An experiment with the roof tool. I kind of like it.

A "fancy" mobile home I built. A little higher end furnishings, my girls have expensive taste.

This blog is about the Sims 3,which I have been playing a lot of in the past few monthes since I bought the game.I am late to the Sims 3 party, mainly because my old computer was not up to the task of running TS3.I contented myself with the Sims 2,which I adored and still do,even if I rarely play it anymore(mostly because TS3 has grabbed all of my attention)Now,if you haven't made the jump to TS3 yet,I urge you to try it(but only if your system requirements are up to snuff)
Here is what I love about TS3:
1.Graphics are a knock out success.I have read posts on BBSs and many people are unhappy with the way the sims look in game.I think they look amazing.I also love the way the water ripples in the background of beachside lots, and that the flowers and trees sway in the "wind"
2.CAS.You have many more options in TS3 to make your sims look the way that you want them to look. They can be fat, skinny, ripped or average.Facial sliders allow for more variety, and you can make some truly ugly or beautiful sims. Now I made my fair share of pretty sims in TS2,but none of them looked as good as the ones I have created in TS3.
3.Story Progression(which I also hate, see below)Hate the EA premades in your neighborhood and never play them? They will age along with your own sims,so they will eventually die off,and you don't have to do a thing to make it happen.I have played through several legacies, and the sims that the game replaces the old ones with are actually not as hateful as the original sims.
4.Opportunities.You get these through your job or because of a high skill level. You might be asked to bring a plate of food to a fellow sim,or if you have World Adventures(which I love),you might be asked to go to a foreign country. It's a great way to m ake money and make friends.
Things I hate:
1.Story Progression.I do not enjoy creating one family, then going to play another, only to find that the family I created has moved out of town. Not cool.
2.Horrible starting sims in Sunset Valley. They are all either hideously ugly,or they have some fatal flaw that makes playing them irritating and difficult.Riverview, the free, downloadable town you can get from thesims3.com,has some very nice townies, particurly nice looking, single male sims like Sherman Bagley,George Dean and Billy Caspian(love him)
So the pros outweigh the cons for me.Sims 3 rocks and it is only a matter of time before I have explored every inch of the towns in my game.
